What is Self Care and how does this related to wellness? Self care is defined as discovering ways to be involved in physical activities (exercising, walking, dancing, yoga), healthy eating habits (monitoring food intake, following a plan to monitor fats, carbohydrates, proteins), spiritual practices, and mental activities (reading a book, meditating, mindfulness).

About Mental Wellness
Mental wellness goes hand in hand with physical wellbeing. What exactly is mental wellness? Finding ways to be happy and learning about contentment is a great place to begin the mental wellness journey. One has to learn what truly makes them happy and contented. Learning to focus on the positives, not the negatives truly can change one's outlook. Learning how to be grateful and express gratitude can create happiness for the half full, not half empty attitude in life.
One great aspect to mental wellness to live in the moment, have appreciation for the simple things in life, and fully experiencing life.

What I Am Reading This May
In seeking a great work to share with readers, a book that I stumbled up on is "A Life Worth Living" by Miroslav Volf, Matthew Croasmun and Ryan McAnnally-Linz. The New York Time's best sellers brings the reader to seek what is meant by living a life which is representative to them, a life which is fulfilling, enriched, and filled with personal discovery. A course, taught by Yale Professor, Miroslav Volf, embraces working with students for finding meaning and real purpose in one's views of life. Research across many cultures, religions, and social classes brings the reader to ask the important questions to investigate where their life needs to change. This is a good summer read to jump start your longer, happier days ahead!
